Emotional masochist, what is an emotional masochist? The name all began with an odd explanation. My friend Jason asked me if I liked the rain. In reply, I told him that I liked it. I liked it because the rain made me feel sad, and feeling sad about the rain made me feel happy. Therefore, he called me an emotional masochist.
